It is essential to validate new technologies by collecting data on vehicles with precision and consistency. Test analysis can be done completely and significantly only if there is repeatability and accuracy in data collection. The proposal of this paper is to present the vehicle instrumentation for emission tests in the evaluation of the reduction of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions with the application of an electromechanical brake booster. The vehicle instrumentation enabled data collection: vehicle dynamics from CAN network, electrical system by vehicle battery, generator, and the product under investigation and, fuel consumption through a mass flow meter. The results showed reduction of fuel consumption and emissions without impacts neither electrical system nor vehicle performance.

______________

Mention

Area: Conventional and Alternative Fuels and Lubricants

Paper: “Real Driving And Bench Emissions From Euro Vi Engine Using Different Blends Of Renewables And Diesel Fuel”

Authors: Guilherme Bastos Machado, Petrobras/ Helineia Oliveira Gomes, Petrobras/ Márcia Figueiredo Moreira, Petrobras/ Tadeu Cavalcante Cordeiro Melo, Petrobras/,

James Manoel Guimarães Weiss, IPT/ Mauricio Assumpção Trielli, IPT and Bruno Silva Pereira/IPT

______________

Area: Vehicle Electronics and Software

Paper: “Requirement Analysis and HW/SW Modelling for an Ethanol-based SOFC System”

Authors: Vinícius Slovinski , Giovani Gracioli, Anderson Wedderhoff Spengler, Rafael Camargo Catapan e Eduardo Forster Beathalter – Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

______________

Area: Emissions and Pollutants Caused by Vehicles

Paper: “Assessment of the Impacts of Traffic Restriction During COVID-19 Pandemic on Vehicle Emissions of Local Pollutants and Greenhouse Gases (GHG) in São Paulo State”

Authors: Cristiane Dias, Silmara Regina Silva and Marcelo Pereira Bales – Companhia Ambiental do Estado de São Paulo Divisão de Emissões Veiculares

______________

Area: Advanced Vehicle Driveline and Energy Management

Paper: “Bioeconomy Application with Drop in Material at Commercial Vehicles”

Authors: Sergio Roberto Amaral, Volkswagen / Victor Tavares de Almeida, Universidade Federal Fluminense/ Paulo Rogério Martins, Bepo Engenharia/ Alan Baio Bonel, Volkswagen

______________

Area: Manufacturing, Materials and Lightweight Solutions

Trabalho: “Effect of Solidification Time on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of the Graphite Cast Iron for Heavy Duty Engine Blocks”

Authors: Evandro Hoepers,Tupy S.A / Carlos Souza Cabezas,Tupy S.A / Guilherme Ourique Verran, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina

Area: Emissions and Pollutants Caused by Vehicles Paper: Vehicle instrumentation for Emissions Tests – Evaluation of an Electromechanical Brake Booster in the Automotive Braking System” Authors: Bruno Romão, Emerson Batagini and Martin Marcelo Leder – Robert Bosch Abstract: There are many studies for reducing fuel consumption and vehicles emissions as weight decrease of components as well as implementation of innovative, environmentally friendly technologies, as the usage of […]

["post-760","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
